Acting Up (in Acadiana)’s 2020 Student Showcase
With Supply Drive for Camp HOPE Louisiana
Lafayette, LA — Acting Up (in Acadiana) presents COLLAGE: Scenes and Monologues, the 2020 Student Showcase. Performances take place Tuesday and Wednesday March 17 and 18, 2020 at the Acadiana Center for the Arts at 6:30 PM.
Actors ages 7-18 perform COLLAGE: Scenes and Monologues. Both humorous and touching, the production challenges the young actors with a broad spectrum of characters and aims to educate them about how they can make a difference through their art.
They raise awareness and initiate a supply drive for Camp HOPE Louisiana, an affiliate of Camp HOPE America, the first camping and mentoring initiative in the country to focus on children exposed to domestic violence. Faith House and the Family Justice Center of Acadiana are partnering with the New Orleans Family Justice Center to bring children they have served to the camp this summer. For more information about Camp HOPE America visit www.camphopeamerica.org.
COLLAGE: Scenes and Monologues is directed by Amy Waguespack, with assistants Zoe Chauvin, Jessica Hackett, Hayden Harman and Gisele Kellman.
